Our fall shares typically begin at the end of October, run through Thanksgiving and are picked up from the farm. Unlike our main season CSA which picks up weekly, fall shares pick up every other week for a total of three pick ups or shares. However, unlike our main season CSA, these shares are considerably larger and are meant to fill your pantry and basement with storable items.
Many of the items in the share are meant for long term storage and will come with a "Best Storage Practices" sheet, as well as recipes and ideas for use. Note: When putting together these shares, I am emphasizing staple foods like potatoes, carrots/beets, salad greens, onions, garlic, etc. There will be mix-and-match options for many of the less common items so you're able to get a sampling of many things, without having to take home bulk amounts of everything. In general, these shares are meant to give you variety while focusing on larger quantities of staple, storage items.
In 2018, our fall shares contained some combination of the following items: fingerling potatoes, garlic, shallots, carrots, Brussels sprouts, celery, red and yellow onions, winter squash, leeks, beets, celeriac, rutabaga, turnips, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, bunched greens, boy choi, Tokyo Bekana, micro greens, lettuce mix and spinach.
2019 Fall Shares are not yet available for purchase. Check back for fall availability, schedule and pricing.
